Our Service
The Joint Industry Board for the
Electrical Contracting Industry has operated a mediation service
to resolve individual and collective disputes in the electrical
contracting industry since 1968. Our service has an enviable
success rate around 90%.
We now provide a mediation service to employers outside our industry, using a team of highly experienced professional mediators, who have all successfully resolved thousands of people problems during their careers. The service is available throughout the United Kingdom.

Cost Effective Solutions to People Problems
Our aim is to provide you with a
simple and effective process to resolve your problem. We will
discuss the problem with you and appoint a mediator at an agreed
fee. Our mediators are provided at a very competitive day rate,
plus expenses. In almost every case only one day will be
required to achieve a successful outcome.

- Investigation of breakdowns in the relationship between individuals or groups in the workplace
- Formulation of measures to restore effective working relationships
- Resolution of claims which have the potential to be heard at Employment Tribunal or are listed to be heard at Employment Tribunal
- Advice and support to employers and individuals to minimise the risk of future difficulties

Jane
Bird
Jane has 23 years experience with Acas, where she successfully mediated in over 1,500 individual cases as well as team mediations and collective disputes. Jane completed her career with ACAS as Director of Good Practice Services and Equality and Diversity
Jerry
Gibson
Jerry was employed by Acas for 36 years and was Director of the North West then London, Eastern and Southern England. In addition to those responsibilities Jerry was the HR Director of ACAS.
Steve
HodderSteve spent over 30 years with Acas in increasingly senior posts and was Director of London then National Conciliator
Keith
MizonKeith spent 22 years with Acas and was a Regional Director then Director of Individual Dispute Resolution
Ken
OwenKen spent 32 years with Acas, where he mediated over 2,500 Employment Tribunal cases. Ken completed his career as Director of London
